Well, today is Election Day, and this morning before I headed off to the office, I went out to vote. Like most people, I voted for the people that I thought would do the best job. There is nothing wrong with that, no matter whom you voted for. As along as that is the person who you wanted in office, or it’s a tax or law that you believe in. Something I noticed (and I have noticed it in earlier years) were people who have a printed ballot from some organization (Union, AARP, The The Blade, etc) that told them what/who to vote for. Frankly that scares me. Something the U.S. is been noted for, is the individualism that makes up the citizens of this country and voted from a printed list takes away from it. What that tells me is that some organizations have way to much power in then voting process, and that we need to give that power back to the voters. How are we going to do that? We need to take the time to educate ourselves on the candidates and the issues we are voting for. We don’t need to blindly follow ads that we see on TV, in the paper, in the neighbor’s yard, or vote based on something that is on a printed card. Voting for some off a preprinted ballot is just flat out lazy, and stupid. Read the paper, surf the internet, watch the news, listen to the radio, what ever, just make sure you getting your info from more then 1 source. In our local paper, the news in the last few weeks were getting slanted big time in favor of the candidates they were endorsing, and it’s petty safe to assume other sources of information will also. Remember; take the time to educate yourself, and then vote!!

I don't think a comment is needed..:)
